CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Junior Joi Reid notched a double-double, 10 points and 11 rebounds, in Western Carolina women's basketball's 60-46 loss to Furman Saturday on Ingles Court in the Ramsey Center.
 
Turning Point
Western Carolina, who was down 15-13 after the first quarter, was outscored 16-2 in the second quarter by Furman and could never recover that second 10-minute deficit of the game.
 
 Individual Leaders
  • Allison led the game with 13 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists.
  • Reid recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Jaelyn Acker led four Furman players in double figures with 12 points.
 
 Inside the Box Score
  • Western Carolina was 1-for-12 from the field in the second quarter.
  • The Paladins shot a scorching 54.5 percent (6-of-11) in the second quarter helping Furman outscore WCU 16-2.
  • The Catamounts came out with some offensive strength, after the half, winning the third quarter outscoring Furman 19-14 and shooting 61.5 percent from the field (8-of-13).
  • The Paladins went to the free throw line 25 times hitting 14.
  • On the flip side of the Paladins' charity stripe trips, WCU went to the line 12 times hitting seven.
  • The Catamounts hit three three-pointers while WCU hit three.
