Mt. Pleasant, S.C. – Western Carolina women's golf sits in a tie for 10th place after 36 of the scheduled 54 holes at the RiverTowne Invitational, hosted by Charleston Southern at the par-72, 6,107-yard RiverTowne Country Club. Sophomore
Elizabeth Lohbauer carded the team's best round in Monday's second 18 holes, shooting 2-over par 74 to sit in a tie for 24th in the individual standings.
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Paired with golfers from Jacksonville, Richmond, and UNC Asheville, WCU's scoring five hits the course between holes No. 8 and No. 10. Live scoring through BirdieFire is available online through a link at CatamountSports.com.
Opening on the back nine Monday, Lohbauer carded a bogey on the par-4 13th with eight pars to make the turn to the front at 1-over on the day. She countered a bogey on the par-3 second with her lone birdie of the day on the par-5 third with six holes to play. A third bogey on the penultimate hole of the round left her at 2-over for the day and 146 for the tournament after shooting an even-par 72 on Sunday.
Senior
Victoria Ladd slipped into a tie for 34th after pacing the squad with a 2-under par round on Sunday, shooting 6-over 78 on Monday. Ladd had four bogeys and one double-bogey against 13 pars in the second round.
Rounding out WCU's scoring five are three golfers tied for 51st after each shot 76 on Sunday and 75 on Monday for two-round scores of 151. Fifth-year senior

Brie Mapanao all carded second-round scores of 3-over par. Isaacson countered four bogeys and one double-bogey with three birdies with Baker likewise carding a trio of birdies against six bogeys. Mapanao posted 15 pars and three bogeys in Monday's round.
Playing unattached as an individual, sophomore
Kaitlyn Wingnean sits in a tie for 67th overall after following her first-round 74 with an 80 on Monday for a two-day score of 154. Wingnean charted two birdies, one on both the front and back nine
Paced by individual leader Carla Bernat (4-under, 140), Tulane moved atop the leaderboard on Monday with a second-round score of 284, carrying a five-stroke lead over first-round leader Boston College, 573-to-578. Tournament host Charleston Southern sits in third, a stroke in arrears at 579 with High Point (580) and Morehead State (582) rounding out the top five.
Bernat leads a three-way tie for second between Mary Kate Smith of Lipscomb, Kanokwan Ngamwong of Elon, and Jacksonville's Susana Olivares a stroke in arrears at 3-under par, 141.
