Tied for 17th after the first round, Lohbauer followed her opening-round 1-over par 73 with a 3-under par round of 69 on Monday afternoon. Opening her second round on hole No. 1, the Venice, Fla., product carded a birdie on four of the front nine holes to counter a pair of bogeys to make the turn to the back at 2-under par. She finished her day with eight pars and a fifth birdie for a score of 69.

Coupled with two birdies in the first round, Lohbauer has a team-best seven birdies through 36 holes, adding an eagle on the 508-yard, par-5 second – just one of eight eagles carded on Monday.

Freshman Brie Mapanao paced WCU through the first round with an even-par score of 72, sliding eight spots into a tie for 17th entering Tuesday. Mapanao countered six bogeys with four birdies on Monday while charting 26 pars. Senior Victoria Ladd slipped into a tie for 50th overall with consecutive rounds of 4-over par, 76. Ladd matched Mapanao with 26 pars over the first two rounds with a pair of birdies, both coming in the first round.

Rounding out WCU's scoring five are fifth-year senior Madison Isaacson, who climbed 17 spots into a tie for 40th overall at 151, and redshirt sophomore Kayleigh Baker who moved up a pair of positions into a tie for 66th at 156. Isaacson was five strokes better in the second round on Monday, carding five total birdies on the day including three straight between holes No. 10 and 12. Baker had three birdies Monday, two in the second round where she dropped six strokes from an opening-round 81 to shoot a 3-over par 75.

Playing unattached as an individual, sophomore Kaitlyn Wingnean advanced 12 positions in the second round to sit in a tie for 20th with a 36-hole score of 3-over par, 147. Wingnean knocked three strokes off her first-round score of 75 by carding an even-par 72. She posted four birdies, three in the second round.

Grand Canyon vaulted to the top of the team leaderboard from second place after a second-round score of 276, leading runner-up Lipscomb by 10 strokes, 566-to-576. WCU is third at 590 with Belmont (591) and tourney host South Dakota State (592) rounding out the top five.

Constanza Guerrero helped key Grand Canyon's round-two rally, advancing five spots to move atop the individual leaderboard with rounds of 1-under par 71 and a second-round score of 7-under par 65. Her 36-hole score of 136 gives her a four-stroke lead over a two-way tie for second between Rylean Marcum of EKU and Lipscomb's Mary Kate Smith.
