Tyzhaun Claude were named to the 2023 Southern Conference All-Tournament Team as league officials announced the squad following the conclusion of the tournament championship game on Monday night. Woolbright was named to the All-Tournament first team with Claude taking a spot on the second team.
Woolbright and Claude are the first Catamounts to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team since Carlos Dotson and Mason Faulkner were second team selections in 2020.
In two games, Woolbright averaged 20.0 points as well as 10.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists. In WCU's semifinal loss to Furman, the Albany, Ga. native tied a career-high with 30 points to go with 11 rebounds and five assists. Woolbright finished 11-for-19 from the field and 8-for-10 at the free throw line.
During WCU's 69-57 victory against ETSU, Woolbright scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, all on the defensive glass. He also dished out five assists.
Claude averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. The Goldsboro, N.C. native logged a double-double in WCU's semifinal loss to Furman with 15 points and 11 rebounds. In the quarterfinal win on Saturday against ETSU, Claude tallied 15 points and snagged five rebounds.
