ORLANDO, Fla. – Western Carolina women's tennis recorded a sweep of Seton Hall on Wednesday night, defeating the Pirates 7-0 at the USTA National Complex.
WCU improves to 9-5 while Seton Hall drops to 4-8.
The Catamounts claimed the doubles points with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 flights. Both of WCU's wins came by 6-2 margins.
Isabella Sambola was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 1 singles.
Madison Schwarz and
Andrea Redondo earned tiebreaker wins with Schwarz earning a three-set victory at No. 3 singles.
Leilany Ipunesso was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at No. 4 singles while
Chloe Schwarz picked up a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles.
The Catamounts have a short turnaround, facing UNCW on Thursday morning at 11 a.m.
