Kate Mattison earned a fourth-place finish in the women's 5,000-meter run and freshman
Noah Straley tied for fourth in the men's long jump to highlight Friday action for the Catamounts at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Mattison completed the race with a time of 17:01.39. It is her second-best time of the season, trailing a 16:52.09 at the Duke Invitational.
Straley recorded a top mark of 7.00 meters (22'11.75") to finish in a tie for fourth place.
Javon Brown finished sixth thanks to his leap of 6.99 meters (22'11.25").
In the men's javelin, Jackson Livingston finished eight with a top throw of 55.46 meters (181'7")
Sydney Gallant placed 11
th in the women's pole vault after she cleared a height of 3.41 meters.
Dami Shodeinde finished 13
th out of 35 competitors in the women's 100-meter hurdles in 14.67.
Will Mitchell picked up a 14
th-place finish in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase. Mitchell completed the race with a time of 9:40.67.
The meet continues Saturday at Noon and is expected to conclude around 4:45 p.m.
