CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Playing in its lone exhibition tune-up before the regular season and making its only home appearance on Ingels Court in the Ramsey Center for the next month, the Western Carolina volleyball team exerted a strong showing against Gardner-Webb on Friday night
All 15 players on the WCU roster saw action in a match that spanned a scheduled four sets. Six student-athletes saw action for the first time for the Purple and Gold in the nonconference exhibition.
"It was good to get in game action against another team tonight," said WCU head coach Karen Glover who is entering her 14th season at the helm. "I liked the way we competed tonight. We need to continue to grow in practice next week with our execution heading to North Carolina."
