Women's Tennis Hosts NC A&T on Saturday

Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis returns to home action as the Catamounts host the North Carolina A&T Aggies in a nonconference match on Saturday (Feb. 28) at 2 p.m. at the on-campus Catamount Athletic Complex.

The Catamounts and Aggies meet for the 14th time in program history, with Western Carolina having won the first 13 series meetings (13-0). The closest match between the two teams was a 5-2 WCU victory at a neutral site in Conway, S.C., in 2009.

WCU (1-7, 0-1 SoCon) most recently fell to the ETSU Buccaneers in the SoCon opener, though the Catamounts took a step towards returning to full strength in the matchup. NC A&T (1-1, 0-1 CAA) has a pair of 7-0 decisions this season, downing Livingstone in a 7-0 win and recently falling to Elon 7-0, both on the road for the Aggies.
