Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina's baseball game against regional rival Gardner-Webb has been moved to Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium, officials at WCU announced on Monday.
Wednesday's game was originally slated for Tuesday afternoon, but unfavorable temperature forecasts prompted the move. WCU and Gardner-Webb have a nonconference home-and-home scheduled this year, with the return meeting in Boiling Springs slated for April 21.
Tickets for Tuesday's game will be honored at the gate on Wednesday, and coverage will be provided through the Catamount Sports Network, with live streaming audio and live stats available through links at CatamountSports.com.
Wednesday's game opens a string of eight-straight games against "Bulldogs" as WCU faces the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb, the Samford Bulldogs, the mountain-rival UNC Asheville Bulldogs, before traveling to Charleston, S.C., against The Citadel Bulldogs.
