Cullowhee, N.C. -- For the second week in a row, the Western Carolina track and field team collected three SoCon Athlete of the Week awards as Austin Cline, Trevor Williams, and Sadler Miller were honored for their performances at the Big South vs SoCon Conference Challenge.  

Cline and Williams earn back-to-back athlete of the week honors, sweeping the men's awards for the second consecutive week. Sadler Miller's weekly honor is the first of her career.

Cline claimed a pair of event wins in Asheville, N.C., taking the shot put and the hammer throw. For the second consecutive week, the junior out of Catawba, N.C., set a pr in the hammer throw with a 54.91m toss. He currently leads the Southern Conference in the hammer throw and ranks second in the shot put by .01 meters.

Williams secured an event win for the second week in a row as well, setting a pr in the 400m with a 48.52s finish. The sophomore Catamount also ran a leg of WCU's second-place finishing 4x400m team and competed in the 200m for only the third time in his collegiate career.  

Sadler Miller's first career SoCon Athlete of the Week honors come after an event-winning performance in the high jump. Miller was the only athlete in the field to clear 1.68m, doing so on her second attempt at the height in her outdoor season debut. She is currently tied for the top mark in the conference with that mark.

Cline, Williams, Miller, and the Catamounts will return to action on April 2-3 for the High Point-hosted VertKlasse meeting.
