Western Carolina (2-16, 0-6 SoCon) enters the matchup after recently closing out its home schedule, falling to the Mercer Bears and the Wofford Terriers on back-to-back days. Tuesday's matchup is only WCU's third road SoCon match of the season.

UNCG (2-15, 0-4 SoCon) comes into the week on a two-match losing skid, falling to the Wofford Terriers and the Campbell Fighting Camels in their previous two matches. The Spartans have two victories on the season, both coming on their home courts.
