Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina men's golf heads to the Chicago area this week to compete in the Highlands Invitational presented by Turtleson at the Chicago Highlands Club.
The tournament features 36 holes on Monday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., and concludes Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
The 12-team field includes fellow Southern Conference member and event host ETSU, College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, North Alabama, Southern Illinois, Toledo, and Wake Forest. Teams will play 36 holes Monday beginning at 8 a.m. before concluding the 54-hole event with a final round on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,349-yard Chicago Highlands Club.
Senior
Jace Butcher leads the Catamount lineup after turning in a career week at the J.T. Poston Invitational. The Kennesaw, Ga., native finished fourth overall with a career-low 54-hole total of 203, firing three consecutive rounds in the 60s, including a pair of career-best 67s at the Waynesville Inn and Golf Club.
The busy 10-day stretch continues for senior
Tyler Jones, who earned an exemption to play in the Biltmore Championship Asheville PGA TOUR event. He completed two rounds in Asheville after playing 54 holes at the Poston Invitational. The Jacksonville, N.C., native closed last week's collegiate tournament with a season-low 66 and is slated as WCU's No. 2 player this week.
Connor Warren, a Charlotte transfer and western North Carolina native, returns to the lineup after posting a 2-under-par total of 211 at last week's J.T. Poston Invitational. Sophomore

Andrew Korytoski complete the Catamount scoring five after appearing in each event this season.
