2026 (Freshman):Â Appeared in 13 games with three starts as two of those starts were at designated played and one came as the first baseman... she scored two runs and drew five walks in limited plate appearances throughout the 2026 season... she opened her colleigate career with a bang scoring two runs and drawing three walks as part of a 16-2 run-rule victory over N.C. A&T (Feb. 11) to cap off an opening day sweep of the Aggies... she also drew walks against Gardner-Webb (Feb. 24) and Southern Illinois (Feb. 28) both coming in pinch-hit opportunities... made her first career start at first base in nonconfence play against Winthrop (Feb. 17)... part of an offense that broke single-season team records in batting average (.313), slugging percentage (.505), on-base percentage (.385), hits (504), doubles (73), runs (368), runs batted in (337), total bases (812), steals (79), and sacrifice flies (24)...
HIGH SCHOOL: Murphy earned all-conference plaudits each of her four years and all-district honors in three seasons. In the final two years of her prep career, Murphy totaled a .400 average as a junior and a .432 average as a senior. She closed her career by receiving North Carolina honorable mention All-state recognition, joined by fellow WCU freshmen Kimber Shambley, Kayden Lyda, and Sydnee Bumgarner, who each were also mentioned throughout the list of honorees.
