Ashley Gasaway enters her second season with the Western Carolina volleyball family in 2023.
In her first season, Gasaway worked with multiple position groups and also completed operational and administrative tasks. During the 2022 campaign, the Catamounts reached the 20-win mark for the first time since the 2022 season and fifth-year senior Merry Gebel earned AVCA All-American and SoCon Player of the Year honors. Additionally, the Catamounts appeared in the postseason for the first time in program history, advancing to the quarterfinal round of the NIVC Tournament.
Gasaway arrives in Cullowhee after spending the previous two seasons as the Brookwood High School junior varisty coach in Snellville, Ga. Additionally, she has coached club volleyball at Aftershock Volleyball Club since 2017.
A certified CrossFit Level 1 trainer, Gasaway has also served as a fitness director at Workout Anytime in Grayson, Ga.
Gasaway was a member of the Point University volleyball team during the 2014 and 2015 seasons before transferring to Kennesaw State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations in 2018.
