Madison Konopka - 2026 - HEAD

Madison Konopka

Western Carolina head volleyball coach Karen Glover announced the addition of Madison Konopka as an assistant coach to her staff for the upcoming 2026 season. A four-year standout on the hardwood, Konopka spent her last two seasons at Jacksonville State following her first two years playing at Binghamton. 

Konopka joins second-year assistant coach Katie Butler, who was promoted to the full-time assistant coach spot following the 2025 season.  

During her two seasons with the Gamecocks, Konopka played 182 sets over 48 matches for Jacksonville State. The Northbrook, Ill. native totaled 301 digs along with 46 service aces for the Gamecocks as she had 12 matches over her two campaigns with double-digit digs highlighted by her best defensive performance of 20 digs coming against Sam Houston State in 2024. 

In her two seasons with Binghamton, she was a two-time American East Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll along with the AD Honor Roll. She saw action in 49 matches spanning 179 sets with the Bearcats as she totaled 679 digs including leading BU with 357 as a freshman in 2022. As a freshman, she tied for the team-best with 34 aces. 

Konopka finished her career with 1,028 digs, 105 service aces and 195 assists throughout her career with the Bearcats and Gamecocks.

As a prep, Konopka was a three-time All-Conference selection at Glenbrook North High School while also earning a pair of Team MVP distinctions in her freshman and senior seasons. She helped lead the squad to a 2022 Windy City Power League Title. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and an Honor Student at Glenbrook North. 

Konopka is a 2026 graduate from Jacksonville State, earning a degree in History.
