Biography

2009 (Sophomore): Participated in 74 sets... Had 11 assists, five service aces and one kill... Recorded 111 digs on the year, averaging 1.50 digs per set... Had four games where she registered 10 or more digs... Posted a season-high 14 digs against S.C. State on Sept. 5.

2008 (Freshman): Played in 103 sets... Recorded 145 digs and 13 assists... Posted a season-best 14 digs against Georgia Southern on Oct. 10... Recorded her first colligate kill at Kentucky on Aug. 30... Had three kills and five service aces on the year... Averaged 1.41 digs per set.

High School: Four-year letterwinner and starter at David W. Butler High School... Was an all-conference selection from 2005-07... Named to the NCSW 4A All-Star Team, the All-Charlotte Observer Team and to the All-Mecklenburg First Team during senior season... Helped her team to the North Carolina state playoffs from 2004-07.

Personal: Full name is Sara Lynn Gantt... Daughter of Harvey and Crystal Gantt... Has one brother, Zac... Her mother played volleyball for Southern Wesleyan University... Her uncle Mike was a member of the Clemson football team that won a national championship in 1981.
