2025 (Freshman): Named 2025 Rayna Taylor SoCon Co-Freshman of the Year… Earned All-Freshman Team honors… saw action in all 29 matches with starts in all 29 contests, one of three to play and start in all 29 matches… played in 101 sets… led the squad with 252 kills, finished in a tie for sixth in the program’s rally scoring era freshman record book… finished sixth in the kills/set rankings for rally scoring era freshman at WCU at 2.5 kills per set… had double-digit kills in 12 matches with a season-high 16 coming in a home victory over mountain-rival UNC Asheville… added 15 kills against both Chattanooga and Texas Tech… finished with a .301 hitting percentage, posting the second-best hitting percentage by a freshman in rally scoring era… she posted an attack percentage north of .300 a combined 16 times, with a season-best .647 (12 kills on 17 attacks) in home win over The Citadel… Sharp has also been a stalwart on the defensive end of the court with 74 blocks, finishing second on the team… tallied multiple blocks on 21 occasions including a season-high five rejections against Kent State and on the road against UTC… finished sixth in the rally scoring single-season record book for blocks… added 22 service aces, finished second on the team… had eight matches with two aces… tallied 51 digs with season-high six against UNCG and The Citadel in SoCon Tournament…
PRIOR TO WCU: Sharp comes to Cullowhee after spending her high school career at Thompson Valley High. During her prep career, she eclipsed 1,000 career kills during her senior season including a pair of 300+ kill seasons. She was a three-time state champion and also finished as runner-up at the 4A level, while garnering all-conference honors four times. Sharp was named four-time Offensive Player of the Year and four-time First-Team All-State. She was named to USAV All-Tournament team. She's competed at the club ranks for Colorado Juniors.
