Cameron Murray joined the Catamount Club staff in early August 2026. He is a two-time graduate of Western Carolina University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Sport Management. Murray was also a two-time team captain and a five-year member of the Catamount baseball team.
As a former Catamount baseball student-athlete, Murray was part of the team from 2022 through 2026. He was elected a team captain twice, in 2025 and 2026. His leadership, commitment, and impact on the program were recognized through numerous honors, including being named the recipient of the prestigious Jack Leggett No. 7 Legacy Award, wearing the honored No. 7 jersey in 2025. He was also recognized as both a WCU Scholar-Athlete and Spotlight Athlete Award winner in 2026.
Murray played in over 100 games during his WCU career with 49 starts. He finished with nine career doubles and three home runs, driving hin 21 runs over his time on the diamond.
Murray was on the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll five times during his WCU career, and earned a SoCon Commissioner's Medal in 2026. He additionally landed on the 2025-26 Academic All-Southern Confernce team in 2026.
