Fairfax, Va. - In Western Carolina's final match in the Brion's Grille/Patriot Invitational, WCU fell 1-3 to Central Michigan in a close four game match.

After losing game one 5-15 the Lady Cats came back to defeat Central Michigan 15-4 in game two. The team was once again unable to win the next two games losing 2-15 and 12-15.

Junior Christy Attebery led the team in kills with nine and freshman Michelle Gorton led the team in digs with eight. Western recorded 35 kills as a team, only 14 short of Central Michigan who put down 49.

The Lady Cats will next travel to conference opponent ETSU on Tuesday, September 5 for a 7:00 p.m. start.
