Harmon and Jakovljevic Record Double Figure Kills in WCU Volleyball Loss

CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Meredith Harmon and Jelena Jakovljevic each had 10 kills in Western Carolina volleyball's (7-18, 2-8 SoCon) 3-0 (26-30, 20-30, 19-30) loss to UNC Greensboro (13-11, 6-4 SoCon) Sunday in the Ramsey Center.

Harmon ended the match with 10 kills and one block assist. Jajovljevic tied the team-high for kills in the match with the Spartans with 10 kills and also had three block assists.

Western Carolina had some solid moments in the match including hitting .231 and committing just 14 errors on 41 attacks. However, the Catamounts struggled on serves committing seven service errors, had eight serve reception errors and didn't record a service ace in the match.

Sophomore Katie Hennessey, who recorded her third triple double on Saturday against Elon, dished out 30 assists against UNC Greensboro and also had nine digs and five kills. Freshman Ali Rook was consistent with eight kills and eight digs.

The Catamounts return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday heading up to Boone, N.C. to take on Appalachian State. The two teams met on September 21 with the Mountaineers taking the match 3-0.
