Terrier Relays Results 
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Western Carolina men's and women's track and field had a banner day at the Terrier Relays, hosted by Wofford University, winning nine events and, breaking two Catamount school records and snapping three meet records. WCU had a total of 60 top-10 finishes in the meet.
It all started on Friday with a pair of Western Carolina school records being broken in field events as well as sweeping the four events of the day. Senior Mateius Brown broke the Catamount school-record winning the shot put with a toss of 17.52m. Scott Peretin followed with a school and meet record of 60.26m to win the hammer throw. Alisha Blackmon not only won the hammer throw with a mark of 50.8m she also broke the meet record. Blackmon closed out the day winning the shot put with a mark of 12.89m.
The Catamounts picked up five first-place finishes on Saturday to close out the meet. Henry Kiedy won the 400m with a time of 47.92. Jordan Bostian won his second straight vent, after winning the 3000m steeplechase last week, coming across the finish line at a time of 3:57.97 to win the 1500m. Peretin came back on day two to win the discus with a mark of 48.62. Dasha Arnaut broke the meet record for the women's 400m with a time of 53.64 and Jaelyn Warren tied the meet record and won the high jump with a leap of 1.70m.
Kaitlyn Lingard had another strong showing placing second in the 800m with a time of 2:15.80. Kinley Drummond also had a second-place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.35m.
Not only did Blackmon win the shot put, Western Carolina went 1-2-3 in the event. Lesleigh Tabor placed second with 12.38m and Amy Yarbrough was third with 12.26m.
Western Carolina will take a week off before returning to action April 13-14 hosting the Catamount Classic by Catamount Travel Center.
