Jacksonville, Fla. – Western Carolina junior Devaniel Dale competed in the men's 200-meter dash on Friday afternoon at the NCAA East Preliminary held at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

Dale finished in 43^rd place with a time of 21.74.

WCU has a pair of student-athletes scheduled to compete in field events on Saturday. Freshman Dakota Oxendine will compete in the men's high jump at 4 p.m. Junior Di'Joun Huitt will compete in the men's triple jump for the second consecutive year beginning at 6:30 p.m.
