CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's basketball closed out the home portion of its schedule, for the 2021-22 season, with a 42-39 win over Emory & Henry Tuesday on Ingles Court in the Ramsey Center.
Turning Point:
Western Carolina and Emory & Henry were tied at 39 with 2:31 remaining. The Catamounts took the lead on a pair of free throws by
Endia Holliday, with 2:10 left, and
Andrea Martin Ruiz hit 1-of-2 in WCU's 3-0 run to close out the game.
Individual Leaders
- Holliday led the Catamounts with 11 points and added seven rebounds.
- Joi Reid had seven points, five rebounds, and three blocks.
- Emory & Henry's Brylee Jones led all scorers with 15 points.
