FARMVILLE, Va. – Western Carolina women's soccer and Longwood played to a 0-0 tie Thursday at the Longwood Athletics Complex.

Individual Leaders:
  • Catamount freshman goalkeeper Leanne Trudel earned a shutout in goal picking up a pair of saves.
  • Rookie Isabella DeMarco had three shots, all on goal, in the contest.
  • Longwood goalkeeper Mary Kate Levush, just like Trudel, earned a shutout and had five saves.
 Inside the Box Score
  • The Catamounts had seven shots in the first half and six in the second for a total of 13 in the match. Five of WCU's seven shots were on goal.
  • All three of DeMarco's shot attempts came in the first 17 plus minutes of the match. Her third shot was one of the Catamounts biggest scoring chance as it sailed just below the cross bar and Lancer goalkeeper Levush just got a finger on the ball to push it over the bar.
  • Catamount Katelyn Galbraith's shot in the 73rd minute was WCU's biggest scoring chance in the second half. She sent a shot into the bottom right of the goal and the Longwood goalie just dove at the right moment for the save.
  • Western Carolina's stifling defense kept Longwood from its attacking side of the field for most of the contest as the Lancers had just four shots in the contest, with three of those coming in the first half.

  • Over the last 191 minutes, in goal, Trudel has allowed just one goal.
