WCU was also tabbed fourth in the 2023 Southern Conference Preseason poll voted on by the league's coaches also announced on Wednesday.

Hartsough finished second on the team a season ago with 288 kills, averaging 2.62 per set as she finished with nine double-doubles. The LaGrange, Ind. native added a team-high 38 service aces to her stat line, ranking fifth in the Southern Conference last season.
