LYNCHBURG, VA. -- Led once again by standout performances by junior jumpers Javell and Javon Brown, the Western Carolina track and field teams started off the Brant Tolsma Invitational with a successful first day that saw the Catamounts claim an event win along with four top-ten performances, two of which were podium finishes. Â
Javon Brown claimed the outright win in the men's long jump on his sixth and final attempt of the day thanks to a new indoor personal best of 7.10m.
