Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina's final 2024 football coaches show, "Catamount Football Weekly with head coach Kerwin Bell," presented by Stanberry Insurance is scheduled for Monday (Nov. 25), live on location at Rodgers Brothers and Speedy's Pizza (2968 Old Cullowhee Road).
 
Monday's show originates at 6 p.m. from the covered patio at Rodgers Bros and airs live on the Catamount Athletics official Facebook page (fb.com/catamountsports). Fans are invited to Rodgers Bros and Speedy's Pizza to be a part of the show, or to also drop in questions or comments through the Facebook page messages.
 
This week's show will review last Saturday's historic road victory at Samford, the first for the Catamounts since 1969 that halted a 10-game road winless drought in the series. The focus will also center around WCU's runner-up finish in the 2024 Southern Conference race, the best for the program since sharing second place with Samford back in 2014 – and claiming sole possession of second for the first time since 1986.
 
Winners of six of its final eight games, Western Carolina (7-5, 6-2 SoCon) put the finishing touches on its third-straight winning season and second-consecutive seven-win ledger with Saturday's win over the Bulldogs – a team that like WCU claimed two victories over nationally-ranked opponents including handing the SoCon's automatic qualifier, Mercer, its lone league loss.
 
Owned by restaurateur and Catamount football alumni Jim Rodgers (1992-95), Rodgers Bros is a fast-casual, sports-themed family restaurant in Cullowhee that also serves a Jackon County staple with Speedy's Pizza. Advertised as "Burgers. Brews. Sports," Rodgers Bros serves All-American fare and has added local Jackson County favorite Speedy's Pizza to its options. Rogers Bros, which has hosted "Catamount Football Weekly" over the past 14 weeks during the 2024 regular season, also promises games on every television throughout the dining areas and bar.
