Asheboro, N.C. – With the threat of inclement weather early next week, Western Carolina women's golf and the 13-team field open play at the 2025 Tot Hill Farm Invitational a day early in hopes of completing all three rounds of competition. Instead of the traditional Sunday afternoon practice round, teams will open the 54-hole event with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. at the par-72, 6,023-yard Tot Hill Farm Golf Club.
Originally scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, the tournament will now play out Sunday and Monday, with 18 holes on Sunday and 36 continuous holes on Monday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring through the
Scoreboard Live app through Clippd is available online for each round through links at CatamountSports.com.
In addition to the Catamounts and the event host and defending champion, the College of Charleston, the field includes golfers from Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Gardner-Webb, North Carolina A&T, Old Dominion, Presbyterian, Queens University of Charlotte, Radford, and Wofford. Charleston, Coastal, ECU, and Radford will also have individual competitors among the field.
Paired with golfers from NC A&T, Eastern Kentucky, and Queens in foursomes, WCU's lineup opens between holes No. 3 and No. 6 in Sunday's shotgun start.
The top five finishing schools from last year's event – CofC, ECU, Coastal Carolina, Elon, and Gardner-Webb – all return this season. WCU returns after a seventh-place showing a year ago, with three golfers having played the course last fall. Sophomore
Annalee Caveney is WCU's top returning player, joined by senior teammate
Sadler Miller. Graduate transfer
EC Niebauer is also familiar with the course, playing as a part of the Queens scoring five in last year's tournament.
Miller and Niebauer guide the Catamount scoring five into competition this week as the top two seeds. Caveney will play as WCU's No. 3, with transfers Elsa Maren Steinarsdôttir and
Emily Rosenschein rounding out the lineup.
