Andrew Korytoski posted his second consecutive round of 4-under par 68 on Tuesday, rallying to the podium to guide Western Carolina men's golf to a runner-up finish as the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational concluded at the par-72, 7,526-yard Mystic Rock Golf Course. The second-place showing is WCU's third-straight Top Five finish to open the fall semester.
Korytoski (208) climbed six spots with his final round to finish tied for third with Nicholas Turowski, with senior
Ivan Ninkovic aiding the rally by climbing nine spots into a tie for sixth at 6-under par, 210.
Tyler Jones also rallied 14 spots over the final round with his best round of the event at 3-under par, 69.
Behind the final round jumps, the Catamounts climbed two spots in the final standings over the last round, finishing behind event host West Virginia, which blistered the course on Tuesday with a 15-under par 273 for a three-round score of 828. WCU (846) leaped over the third-place tie between Seton Hall and James Madison (847), with William & Mary (854) finishing fifth.
Korytoski shot even-par on the front nine in Tuesday's final round with nine pars. He closed the tournament with five birdies against a bogey over the final nine to close the event with a 4-under par 68 for an 8-under par 208. Korytoski finished with 12 combined birdies.
Ninkovic rebounded from a 2-over par 74 in Monday's first round to post consecutive rounds in the 60s with a 5-under par 67 in round two and a blemish-free final round 3-under par 69. Ninkovic shot par on 15 of his final 18 holes with three birdies, finishing with 11 birdies and an eagle.

Tyler Jones posted his best round of the event to rally into a tie with junior teammate
Jace Butcher in a tie for 26th overall. Jones rallied from 1-over par three holes into his final 18, coming home with four birdies for the 3-under par 69, and a three-round score of 215. Jones matched Korytoski with a team-best 12 birdies, adding an eagle.
Butcher slipped 17 spots over the final round with a 3-over par 75 on Tuesday, carding a seventh birdie, but was unable to overcome four bogeys. The Kennesaw, Ga., product was tied with Korytoski for fourth with 39 pars.
Rounding out WCU's scoring five was redshirt senior
Josh Lendach, who finished in a tie for 48th with a three-round score of 220. The Raleigh, N.C., product closed the event by shooting 75 on Tuesday, collecting two of his eight birdies in the last round.
All told, the Catamounts finished second in both par-3 (3.12, +7) and par-4 scoring (3.98, -3), and was fifth on the par-5 holes (4.73, -16). WCU also finished with a tournament-high 181 pars as a team.
West Virginia's Kaleb Wilson posted three consecutive rounds in the 60s to claim co-medalist honors as Vaughn McMeans of George Mason advanced into a tie for first with consecutive rounds of 67, as the two tied at 205.
Following the three days in southwestern Pennsylvania, the Catamounts conclude the fall portion of their schedule at the Elon Invitational. The 54-hole tournament is scheduled for Oct. 13-14 at the Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C.
