CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Catamount Club is excited to announce information for 2023 Catamount Central pre-game event at this year's Southern Conference Basketball Tournament. The Southern Conference Basketball Tournament is hosted from March 2-6 in Asheville, NC at the Harrah's Cherokee Center. Catamount Central is an event hosted by the Catamount Club for ALL Western Carolina Fans to enjoy!  

Western Carolina Women's Basketball is slated to play on Thursday, March 2^nd at 11 a.m. against Wofford. For the morning game, Catamount Central will be an informal breakfast meet-up starting at 9:00 a.m. at Early Girl Eatery (8 Wall St, Asheville, NC 28801). All Catamount fans are encouraged to drop by before heading into the arena to cheer on the women's team!

The Western Carolina Men's Basketball will tip-off tournament play on Saturday, March 4^th at 2:30 p.m. against ETSU. Catamount Central for the men's game will be hosted at Mellow Mushroom (50 Broadway St, Asheville, NC 28801). Mellow Mushroom is conveniently located near the Renaissance Hotel and only .3 miles away from the arena. Food will be provided and beverages will be available for purchase. The event is open to all Catamount Fans - RSVP is requested but not required. Saturday's event will feature special guests including Purple Thunder, Catamount Cheer, and PAWS!

SoCon Tournament ticket books and single-session tickets can be pre-purchased by calling the Catamount Athletic Ticket Office at (828) 227-2401. Tickets will be available for purchase and pick-up at the Men's Basketball Catamount Central event.

Catamount Central dates on Friday, Sunday, and Monday will depend on how both the men's and women's team advance. Click here to see the complete SoCon Tournament Bracket. Catamount Central will be hosted two hours prior to tip-off at the mentioned locations.
