CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis opens the fall portion of its 2019-20 schedule hosting the first of two tournaments, this weekend Sept. 21-22, at the Catamount Athletic Complex.
The Catamounts welcome UNCA, USC Upstate, and Tusculum to the round-robin tournament. Each team will play singles matches and doubles matches against one another.
Western Carolina returns five players who saw action in the 2019 spring campaign as well as redshirt sophomore Jordyn King who sat out this past spring due to injury. The returners from the spring include; Jordan Strickland (senior), Lauren McCall (senior), Carli Deehr (junior), Jacy Smith (sophomore) and Julia Pezzuco (sophomore). The Catamounts will also see action from their lone freshman Emily Elliott.
