Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina women's golf returns to action on Monday and Tuesday as the Catamounts tackle the par-72, 6,316-yard Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga., at The Southern, hosted by former Southern Conference foe and three-time event defending champion, Georgia Southern.
The three-round, 54-hole tournament features two rounds of continuous play with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, followed by the third round on Tuesday, Sept. 9, again with a shotgun opening.

In addition to the Catamounts and the host Eagles, the 13-team field includes SoCon member Wofford, as well as golfers from Augusta University, Charleston Southern, Dartmouth, Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, Jacksonville, James Madison, Seton Hall, and Tarleton State. Six individuals from five of the schools will add to the field.
The 2025 installment will see a new individual medalist as GSU's Louise Reau, who claimed consecutive crowns in 2023 and 2024, and 2023 co-medalist Hannah King of Coastal Carolina, are not entered in the field.

EC Niebauer flanks her on the par-3 13th, with
Elsa Maren Steinarsdôttir playing in the third flight and beginning her second tournament for the Purple & Gold on No. 14.
Rounding out WCU's scoring five is sophomore
Annalee Caveney, as the fourth seed, opening on No. 15, with
Emily Rosenschein rounding out the order on the 16th tee box.
