The 2002-03 Women's Golf Team
Western Carolina's 2002-03 Women's Golf Team was the first women's team to advance to an NCAA post-season tournament, doing so by winning the 2003 Southern Conference Women's Golf Tournament. The team finished 16th at the NCAA East Regional. All told, the 2002-03 team won three tournament championships including the SoCon, the Great Smokies Intercollegiate and the John Kirk-Lady Panther Intercollegiate. Four individuals on the squad were named National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholars. Brandy Andersen was named All-SoCon, SoCon Freshman of the Year and WCU's Student-Athlete of the Year, while Johanna Lundberg was WCU's Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2003. The roster also included Meredith Beck, Line Cordes, Ashley Hovda, Jennifer Palmer  and  Rebecca Twiner.
