Thomas "Bubba" Wilson - Men's Basketball - (1975-79)
Wilson was the anchor for the men's basketball team as they made the transition from NAIA competition to NCAA and Southern Conference play during the mid-1970s. In 1978, Wilson became WCU's first All-Southern Conference selection. During that season, he was Southern Conference's second-leading scorer with 23.5 ppg. He also finished the year in the top 10 in rebounding, steals, blocked shots, and field goal percentage. At the time of his induction, he ranked 14th on the Catamounts all-time scoring list, while ranking second in steals and blocked shots. Wilson was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 1978 NBA draft.
