Ashley Hovda Kress (Women’s Golf, 2002-06)
Three-time All-Southern Conference selection, twice earning second-team plaudits in 2004 and 2005, before collecting first-team honors in 2006. Three-time SoCon Women’s Golfer of the Month. Finished her career with 17 Top 10 individual finishes, including nine Top Five finishes, including individual medalist honors three times. She twice won WCU’s home event, the Great Smokies Intercollegiate, and recorded three Top 10 individual finishes at the SoCon Championship. Fired five career rounds in the 60s, twice shooting rounds of 66 as part of a career average of 77.38 over 105 career rounds. Upon her induction, she held WCU’s top 36-hole score of 134 (68-66). Was inducted into the WCU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014 as a member of the 2002-03 Catamount Women’s Golf team.
